Race and Reconciliation: Promoting Unity among Christians
Our society is more racially diverse than ever, yet churches are still highly segregated. David has a strong desire to edify the community of Jesus by bringing people of all backgrounds, races, and cultures together to worship God in unity. His vision, passion, and ability have taken him all over America to speak and counsel communities to live out the true nature of the Gospel without division. Ideas coming from theology, sociology, and personal experience all come together to create an impactful interview on how we can raise a more unified next generation.
David M. Bailey believes that the Church should and can lead by example in diversity and reconciliation. He’s the founder of Arrabon, a ministry that equips churches and nonprofits with the tools and resources to shepherd their community from aspirational values regarding diversity along racial, ethnic, and class divisions toward an embodied practice. He is the author of Arrabon: Learning Reconciliation through Community and Worship Music and the producer of the Urban Doxology project.David and his wife Joy live in Richmond, VA.
